Job Title: Instructor - Rehabilitation Training 12 months Fixed Term Contract, Part-time 18 hours per week.
Location: NLN & RehabCare Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim About the Role: The Rehabilitation Training Instructor will help learners build personal, social, and work-related skills, guiding them to make independent choices and progress in their lives.
You'll work within a team to support individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism, intellectual disabilities, and sensory or physical needs.
Experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or willingness to learn ABA principles is essential, as this role supports learners in our ASD program.
Following the New Directions policy, you'll assist learners in creating and following individualized, person-centred plans, encouraging independence and decision-making.
Strong communication, teamwork, and creativity are essential, along with the ability to work in a person-centred training environment.

What We're Looking For: 3rd-level qualification in Youth and Community Work, Teaching, or Adult Education.
Relevant training qualifications such as Train the Trainer.
Experience in a specialized training environment with young people with support needs (e.g., intellectual disabilities, ASD, sensory or physical needs).
Experience in delivering QQI accredited modules and in creating person-centred plans.
Strong IT skills to facilitate blended learning.

Your Responsibilities: Deliver individualized training in alignment with program specifications, maintain records of learners' progress, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Provide one-to-one support, guiding learners in developing person-centred plans and assisting in decision-making according to New Directions principles.
Use diverse methods (e.g., assistive technology, art, music) to help learners reach personal and educational goals.
Support learning in various settings, including classrooms, remote environments, and community activities, promoting self-directed and peer learning.
Develop creative programs alongside the multidisciplinary team to foster learners' independence, working closely with other rehabilitation professionals.
