We are currently looking to expand our team and are seeking an experienced Service Advisor to manage customer appointments, communicate service details, and ensure smooth operations within our busy workshop.
Position Overview: As a Service Advisor at Parson Garage, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department.
You will be responsible for handling customer appointments, explaining vehicle issues, discussing service work and costs, and ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Your role will also involve liaising closely with the workshop manager to ensure the timely completion of work.
Full training provided.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and schedule customer appointments accurately, considering individual customer needs and workshop capacity.
Liaise with customers to understand their service requirements, advise on necessary work, and discuss associated costs.
Work closely with the workshop manager to ensure work is carried out in an efficient and timely manner.
Explain invoices and Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs) to customers in a clear and professional manner.
Understand and implement manufacturer warranty policies to ensure customer claims are processed correctly.
Promote and recommend additional products and services to customers.
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customers' needs and concerns are met promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, bookings, and service work.
Follow-up with customers as needed, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements: Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role in the automotive industry is essential.
Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
Good understanding of the automotive industry and vehicle servicing.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work well as part of a team and liaise with various departments.
Proficient in using computer systems and service booking software.
A positive and professional approach to customer interactions.
Preferred Qualifications (but not essential): Experience with manufacturer warranty policies and processes.
Knowledge of automotive products and services.
