Job Overview: The Field Care Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care by implementing field-based quality control systems and providing continuous support to Care & Support Workers within a designated area. This role requires a proactive approach to managing care services, maintaining effective communication, and ensuring compliance with all care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct Assessments: Perform thorough Individual Needs Assessments for new and potential service users, ensuring that all care plans are tailored to meet their specific needs.
* Risk Management: Carry out and regularly update risk assessments as part of the Individual Needs Assessment, ensuring comprehensive risk management strategies are in place.
* Introductory Visits: Accompany Care & Support Workers on their first visit to a new service user to ensure a smooth and comfortable introduction.
* Service Coverage: Ensure that all scheduled service user visits are covered at all times, addressing any potential gaps in care provision promptly.
* Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact for emergencies, providing on-call support when necessary.
* Collaboration with Care Coordinators: Work closely with Care Coordinators to assist with recruitment, the allocation of permanent Care & Support Workers, and the preparation of Care & Support Agreements.
* Staffing Solutions: Identify and allocate suitable Care & Support Workers to cover absences due to sickness, holidays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
* Induction & Training: Lead the practical induction of new Care & Support Workers, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles. Facilitate ongoing in-field training and identify any additional training needs, reporting them as necessary.
* Service User Reviews: Conduct regular service user reviews and respond promptly to feedback from Individual Review Forms completed by Care & Support Workers.
* Supervision & Mentoring: Provide consistent monitoring, supervision, and mentorship to Care & Support Workers in the field, ensuring they are supported in delivering high-quality care.
* Service User Satisfaction: Continuously monitor service user satisfaction and Care & Support Worker performance, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
* Documentation Accuracy: Ensure that all documentation in service users' homes is accurate, complete, and up-to-date, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
* Professional Development: Encourage and identify opportunities for the ongoing professional development of Care & Support Workers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Reporting: Maintain regular communication with the Care Manager and Care Coordinator, ensuring all written reports and administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Work Environment: Field Care Supervisors are expected to spend approximately 95% of their working week in the field, providing direct support to Care & Support Workers and ensuring the quality of service delivery. The remaining 5% of the time will be dedicated to completing necessary administrative duties in the office.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €19,800.00-€33,000.00 per year
