The Deputy Manager is a pivotal member of the team, supporting the Centre Manager in the operational and strategic management of our residential care services.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for providing leadership and team management, policy implementation, care and wellbeing of young people, safeguarding, child protection, professional development, and operational oversight.
Responsibilities
* Leadership and Team Management:
o Provide guidance and support to staff members
o Mentor and develop team members
* Policy Implementation and Governance:
o Develop and implement policies and procedures
o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Care and Wellbeing of Young People:
o Oversee daily care activities
o Ensure the physical and emotional needs of young people are met
* Safeguarding and Child Protection:
o Implement and maintain safeguarding policies
o Conduct risk assessments and respond to incidents
* Professional Development:
o Promote ongoing learning and development
o Support staff members in achieving their career goals
* Operational Oversight:
o Monitor and evaluate service delivery
o Make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Social Care/Nursing/ID Qualifications (QQI Level 7)
* 3 years working experience in a similar field
