Salary: Appointment will be made on Grade V salary scale (€51,206 - €61,253) at a point in line with Government pay policy.
Hours of work: Full-Time 35 Hours Per Week
Closing Date: 12 Noon on Friday 4th April, 2025.
Interviews to be held Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th April, 2025.
Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced and skilled Healthcare Trainers to support Project Coral, a major transformation program within Beaumont Hospital. This role is critical to the successful implementation and adoption of new healthcare systems and technologies, ensuring end-users are confident and proficient in their use.
As a Healthcare Trainer, you will deliver engaging training sessions, provide frontline support, and act as a vital link between hospital staff and the project team. Your expertise will help streamline workflows, improve patient care processes, and drive user adoption.

Responsibilities
Training Development & Delivery:
* Collaborate with stakeholders to assess training needs and develop tailored training programs.
* Design and maintain comprehensive training materials, including user guides, manuals, videos and e-learning modules, ensuring alignment with system updates.
* Conduct interactive training sessions, both in-person and virtually, catering to diverse learner needs (e.g., clinicians, administrators, support staff).
* Provide hands-on demonstrations and exercises to enhance user competency.
User Support & Troubleshooting:
* Offer frontline support before, during, and after go-live to ensure smooth system adoption.
* Address user inquiries, troubleshoot system-related issues, and escalate complex problems to technical teams when necessary.
* Collaborate with support teams to document and resolve system-related challenges, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Change Management & User Adoption:
* Act as a change ambassador, helping staff transition smoothly to new workflows and technologies.
* Communicate key messages effectively, reinforcing the benefits of the system to encourage user adoption.
* Gather feedback from end-users and provide insights to the project team for continuous improvement.
* Support engagement initiatives to foster a positive learning culture and reduce resistance to change.

Qualifications
Selection Criteria:
Selection criteria outline the qualifications, skills, knowledge and/or experience that the successful candidate would need to demonstrate for successful discharge of the responsibilities of the post. Applications will be assessed on the basis of how well candidates satisfy these criteria.
Mandatory:
* Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc
(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:
o (i) Have satisfactory experience as a Clerical Officer in the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004.
o Or
o (ii) Have obtained a pass (Grade D) in at least five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination, including Mathematics and English or Irish. Candidates should have obtained at least Grade C on higher level papers in three subjects in that examination.
o Or
o (iii) Have completed a relevant examination at a comparable standard in any equivalent examination in another jurisdiction.
o Or
o (iv) Hold a comparable and relevant third level qualification of at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland, (QQI).
Note: Candidates must achieve a pass in Ordinary or Higher level papers. A pass in a foundation level paper is not acceptable. Candidates must have achieved these grades on the Leaving Certificate Established programme or the Leaving Certificate Vocational programme. The Leaving Certification Applied Programme does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.

o (b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the office.
* Age
Age restriction shall only apply to a candidate where s/he is not classified as a new entrant (within the meaning of the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2004). A candidate who is not classified as a new entrant must be under 65 years of age on the first day of the month in which the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office occurs.
* Health
Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
* Character
Candidates for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Desirable:
* Experience with key hospital applications such as PAS, ED, OC, and Clinical Information Systems.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into simple, practical applications.
AND
* Formal qualification in healthcare, training, education, or a related field.
OR
* 3+ Years’ experience in a relevant role.
* Strong knowledge of Beaumont Hospital workflows.
* Proficiency in using virtual training platforms, multimedia tools, and e-learning technologies.
* Familiarity with change management principles to support successful system adoption.
* Proven ability to establish rapport, engage learners, and provide exceptional user support.
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot system-related issues effectively.
* Flexibility and adaptability in responding to evolving training needs and technologies.
* Excellent skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with creating training videos using Active Presenter.
