Join our dynamic team at PwC, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality finance managed services and statutory financial statement preparation for a diverse client base across various industries. This hybrid working position is part of our Accounting Compliance and Finance Managed Services team within the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) tax channel.
The Team:
The Accounting Compliance and Finance Managed Service business is a specialist accounting team with extensive industry and practice experience. Our team works with a wide range of entities, from multinationals to sole traders, providing high-quality outsourced corporate support and accounting services. The team consists of 16 professionals from various professional disciplines, including qualified accountants, who are dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Finance Managed Services: Lead and coordinate tasks to efficiently manage clients' finance functions, including overseeing the complete month-end process. Provide tailored financial information and reports to meet specific client needs.
2. Statutory Financial Statement Preparation: Offer expert guidance to clients on their statutory accounting obligations under the Company Law Frameworks in Ireland and the UK. Review and ensure compliance of statutory financial statements with IFRS, FRS101, and FRS102 standards.
3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with high-quality service delivery. Liaise regularly with clients to address technical accounting issues and support the team in preparing statutory financial statements.
4. Team Leadership and Development: Motivate and mentor team members to achieve their full potential, fostering a learning culture. Play an active role in training junior and senior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
5. Risk Management and Compliance: Promote and uphold risk management and compliance procedures within the team and client engagements. Set the tone for compliance and risk management practices.
6. Digital Tools and Innovation: Embrace digital evolution and leverage digital tools to enhance client deliverables and business opportunities. Drive the adoption of new technologies in day-to-day operations, familiarising yourself with digital advancements to improve service delivery.
7. Collaboration and Liaison: Regularly liaise with external auditors and the wider PwC tax practice to ensure a smooth and efficient year-end sign-off for each client’s financial statements. Collaborate with partners, directors, and senior managers to deliver quality service and support business development projects.
Experience, Skills, and Personal Qualities:
1. ACA/ACCA Qualified
2. 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
3. Strong technical accounting and tax accounting skills
4. Digital curiosity and interest
5. Excellent communication and client relationship skills
6. Strong analytical and service delivery abilities
7. Good interpersonal skills and a team player
8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
