Position Overview
The R&PA team forms part of Group Finance in CRH, based in Stonemasons Way, Dublin. The team has responsibility for a number of internal and external reporting processes and performance analysis including monthly Board and management reporting, the Group consolidated Budget, financial planning and analysis, preparation of financial notes, briefing materials for senior management and Investor Relations to support external results announcements and preparation of business performance related sections of the annual report. Hybrid working at present, with the team ordinarily based at Group HQ in Stonemasons Way, Dublin.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Preparation of briefing materials for Senior Management and Investor Relations, in particular at quarter end, providing key information on drivers of performance.
2. Preparation of the MD&A and business performance section of the annual report, 10-K and 10-Q.
3. Preparation of the quarterly announcement of trading results.
4. Preparation of Group forecast while working closely with Divisional Finance and other teams across Group Finance.
5. Review and provide critical analysis for the monthly Board and management reporting processes with a key focus on critical trend analysis, key performance metrics and drivers of performance.
6. Review and provide critical analysis for the preliminary and final budget submitted by the Divisions and ownership of the related presentations, reports and analysis.
7. Review and analysis of financial reporting notes and disclosures, as part of the Group financial consolidation process.
8. Focus on continuous improvements in all processes and outputs to add value and drive business results.
9. Provide high quality ad hoc analysis to senior management as requested to support decision making.

Experience / Education
20. Strong academic background, professional record and qualification (ACA, CFA or equivalent)
21. 5+ years’ experience in a similar role;
22. Experience working on high performing teams, ideally across different geographies.
23. Good systems capabilities and/or interest in financial reporting systems; experience with HFM system would be an advantage.
24. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
25. Exposure to Group reporting and processes.
