Job Title: Senior Operations LeaderLocation: GalwayJob Overview:As the Senior Leader of Operations, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and play a critical role in shaping and executing our manufacturing strategy to meet and exceed organizational objectives. Leading a team of Operations Managers, you will oversee all aspects of production, ensuring excellence in Health & Safety, Quality, Compliance, Employee Engagement, and Service Delivery. This role requires a dynamic and results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and drives operational efficiency through strategic alignment and innovation.Job Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Develop, execute, and supervise the manufacturing strategy to ensure alignment with corporate goals and customer expectations.Team Management: Directly manage Operations Managers to ensure effective execution of site-wide operational objectives. Cultivate and sustain high-performing teams through leadership development and employee engagement.Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Drive EH&S compliance across all production activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proactive implementation of measures.Operational Excellence: Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate overall production performance.Customer Focus: Ensure punctual delivery, high quality, and exceptional customer service through robust planning and execution frameworks.New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful product transfers, establish ramp-up plans, and adhere to project timelines.Budget Management: Lead budgeting processes, encompassing annual and quarterly forecasting, to align resources with production goals and customer demand.Continuous Improvement: Spearhead projects aimed at optimizing lead times, boosting output performance, and supporting site-wide initiatives for operational excellence.Value Stream Management: Foster a culture oriented toward value streams, ensuring streamlined processes and effective collaboration toward shared goals.Change Management: Lead and actively participate in change initiatives, ensuring alignment with site strategy and organizational vision.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with teams across departments to drive operational synergies and achieve site-wide objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations leadership roles, including at least 5 years in a management or leadership capacity.Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles, business excellence, and continuous improvement.Strong decision-making skills with a proven ability to analyze data and resolve complex issues effectively.Knowledge and experience in SI&OP and capacity planning processes.Proven track record of leading and motivating large, diverse teams in a highly technical and regulatory-compliant environment.Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and driving cost savings.Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements, along with compliance standards.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by a history of driving organizational change.Key Requirements:Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all organizational levels.Proven success in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion.Demonstrated financial and analytical acumen to support data-driven decision-making.Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
