About Burger Boy
We’re THAT neighbourhood burger joint, the place everyone brings their cousin to check out when they're in town. We get there by building a killer team, led by people who know their stuff and genuinely care about what we do. We need someone to join our team and work with us to make Burger Boy the best it can be and drive our team's knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Development
o Lead and motivate your team through dynamic training sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and regular performance reviews.
o Set high standards by leading from the front, driving productivity, and training staff on service excellence and food quality.
o Recruit, onboard, and train new team members to fit Burger Boy’s culture.
2. Operational Management
o Oversee all daily operations and ensure the requirements of the business are met.
o Maintain a high standard of food, service, and atmosphere to create a vibrant guest experience.
o Schedule monthly team rosters, using integrated systems and utilising budgets agreed.
o Order stock levels to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
o Manage prep of food in advance to ensure smooth service.
o Work with management to generate collaborations, limited menu items, and activities to drive customer engagement, such as hosting our annual quad challenge.
o Implement and understand Burger Boy's HACCP manual, operations manual, employee handbook, and Guest Experience Manual.
o Maintain supplier relationships, control ingredient costings for store, and manage credit.
3. Guest Experience
o Uphold guest service standards, delivering fast, friendly, and exceptional dining experiences.
o Engage with customers to foster a welcoming environment and manage feedback for continuous improvement.
o Value the guest above all else.
o Organise fun events like themed nights, competitions, and music to enhance the atmosphere.
4. Financial Management
o Manage the restaurant’s P&L, optimising financial performance through budgeting and cost control.
o Track shop inventory and maintain stock on hand.
o Track and minimise wastage of food.
o Maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality.
o Evaluate cost of goods quarterly.
5. Constant Improvement
o Collaborate with the operations team to develop and refine SOPs that improve product and service quality.
o Evaluate and enhance processes to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
o Constantly develop training programmes to empower our team to be the best.
o Monitor KPIs and refine reports on business performance, including P&L, wastage, COGS, and staff costs.
6. Community Engagement
o Drive local marketing and community initiatives to build a loyal customer base and promote Burger Boy as a key local venue in the Bray neighbourhood.
o Create and maintain a vibrant, inclusive environment that encourages repeat visits.
Qualifications/Requirements
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fun environment and has the drive to lead a successful team. Experience in hospitality management is great, but what really matters is your passion for people, food, and creating memorable experiences. We’re looking for a dedicated leader who can keep things running smoothly and step up when needed. Here’s what we expect:

* Clean: We operate a clean environment - clean as you go is an understatement, so you must be a cleanly person with good cleaning habits and an understanding of why cleanliness is of such high importance and experience completing deck scrubs/kitchen deep cleaning.
* Full Driving License: Required for operational flexibility.
* HACCP Level 2: 2 years with HACCP level 2 required. HACCP level 3 supplied.
* Availability: Must be available Wednesday to Sunday for trade.
