Your Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Management (resources and fees).
2. Preparation of design & contract documentation and specifications.
3. Designing and reviewing design work of intermediate and junior engineers.
4. Design of systems including but not limited to electrical distribution, small power, lighting & emergency lighting, fire detection & alarm, ICT, security and vertical transportation.
5. Co-ordination of work with all members of design teams (architect, engineers of all disciplines, QS, etc.).
6. Ensuring that all designs and documents are prepared to the highest standards.
7. Estimating, Procurement and Cost Control on projects.
8. Compiling project reports.
9. Conceptual design studies and reports.
10. Mentoring and development of intermediate and junior engineers in the group.
11. Liaising with the supply chain and contractors to co-ordinate the successful delivery of the MEP installations.
Your Education/Profile:
12. Masters or Degree in Electrical Services engineering or Electrical Engineering.
13. Minimum 8-years post-qualification experience, most of which will be in design gained within a consultancy environment.
14. Experience in design of projects across multiple sectors.
15. Chartered Engineer status (or close to achieving status).
16. Technically excellent with in-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
17. Experience in leading design teams.
18. Experience in using Revit and directing engineers using Revit.
19. Proven team player.
20. Organised and adaptable, with a flexible approach to work.
21. Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
22. Competent in electrical design software.
23. Excellent communication and report writing skills.
24. Highly motivated, pro-active and willing to take on new challenges.
25. Demonstrated experience in the design of Building Services Electrical systems
26. As a senior MEP grade, a core knowledge of Building Services Mechanical systems.
