My client is a well-known Irish brand that specialises in the hub of the aviation industry.
Campaign Management:
* Develop, implement, and oversee high-impact communications and PR campaigns and strategies, monitoring their success.
Media Outreach:
* Engage with influencers, media, and other channels to raise awareness and understanding of The Shannon Airport Group.
Content Creation:
* Draft press releases, media statements, respond to media enquiries, compile publications, and plan events and press conferences promptly.
Brand Consistency:
* Oversee the creation of communications materials to ensure consistency with the organisation's brand, including press releases and speech materials.
Social Media Content:
* Create content for social media platforms, including videos.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Assist the Head of Communications in engaging with stakeholders.
Media and Internal Support:
* Provide media advice and internal communications support to colleagues.
Representation:
* Represent the organisation at events and press conferences.
Crisis Communication:
* Participate in crisis communication preparedness activities.
Event Management:
* Maintain and manage shared appointments and the department's calendar of events.
Requirements:
* A recognised third-level degree or relevant qualification in PR, communications, media, or a related field.
* Experience in a PR agency or in-house PR role is advantageous.
* Excellent writing, editing, communication, storytelling, and project management abilities.
* The ability to work flexibly, meet deadlines, and handle ad hoc assignments to meet the evolving needs of the business.
* Exceptional organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects with different deadlines simultaneously.
* Experience of designing and executing communication plans and strategies to achieve business objectives.
* Comfortable dealing with the media, including making media pitches, answering enquiries, and understanding print, online, television, and radio media outlets.
* Strong social and digital media skills, along with proficiency in PowerPoint and visual design.
* Ability to think analytically and strategically.
* Ability to independently gather, analyse, interpret, and summarise data to deliver insights.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, including the Marketing team, to ensure alignment of messaging.
* Experience in event management is an advantage.
