Position Overview
A vacancy exists for a CNC Lathe Machinist who will join the existing team located in Mullingar. Applicants should be dedicated, motivated, self-starters, and willing to take on a new challenge. The position is a 2-cycle shift.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Precision machining a wide range of component parts, tools, and fixtures, using various materials and equipment/machine tools.
2. Program and operate CNC lathe machine and manual machine tools, small hand tools, power tools & test/inspection equipment while ensuring health & safety provisions are strictly adhered to.
3. Comply with all new product documentation and process control procedures including CNC program control and fixture documentation.
4. Ensure components and finished products consistently meet design specifications and the highest engineering and quality standards.
Requirements
1. Must have knowledge and experience of using CNC Lathe Machines.
2. Experience of working within a Precision Engineering or Pharmaceutical/Aerospace Manufacturing environment is desired.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills.
4. Problem-solving/decision-making ability.
5. Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings.
6. Methodical, analytical, and precise.
7. Inspection and testing knowledge desired.
8. Strong attention to detail and conscientious/thorough approach to assigned tasks.
9. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
10. Be highly organized with the ability to manage their own work in a demanding environment.
11. Be flexible, proactive, show initiative, teamwork & commitment.
12. Have experience in using CAD/CAM.
13. Adhering to high-quality standards and lean manufacturing processes.
