Position: Portable Lab Equipment (PLE) Systems Engineer.
Location: Dublin, Ireland.
PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions with offices in Ireland, the United States and Puerto Rico, and serving the Life Science, F&B and Utilities industries, is looking for a PLE Systems Engineer.
This is a site-based role.
Job Description The PLE Systems Engineer will primarily focus on qualification and integration of equipment used for in process testing.
They will work closely with the Systems Administration, Data & Integration and Validation teams to deliver projects spanning the full computer systems lifecycle.
The role will ensure consistent high-quality delivery of PLE introductions, upgrades, and changes across the site.
This role will also act as an escalation point for issues/incidents requiring specialist knowledge.
The successful candidate will report to the Automation Infrastructure Lead and join a sub-team focused on Portable Laboratory Equipment (PLE).
Responsibilities of the Role Responsible for PLE introduction in a GMP environment.
Must be solutions orientated, delivery focused and passionate about supporting production with technical solutions.
Must be capable of working effectively on their own or as part of a project team.
Maintaining software and hardware in accordance with site standards and following good engineering practice.
Troubleshoot technical issues with OT systems.
Support user account and access management during commissioning.
Provide technical support to partners within Engineering and Operations as required.
Support department in being always audit\inspection ready.
Contribute to and author documentation and SOPs associated with each of the automated systems.
Develop technical knowledge of the different automation benchtop systems on site.
Support biannual and periodic reviews.
Working on site Automation continuous improvement initiatives.
Any other activities as directed by the Automation Infrastructure Lead.
Requirements Qualifications: Appropriate technical qualifications, e.g.
CompTIA.
Will consider applicants with relevant hands-on industry experience.
Experience Required: Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems experience.
Benchtop instrumentation.
Ex.
Cell counters, Spectrophotometers, Filter Integrity Testers.
Basic IT skills – Account administration, Ticketing, Troubleshooting, Networking.
Minimum 2-3 years working in the life sciences, or other regulated industry.
Ability to author clear documentation.
Some Programming or scripting experience e.g.
C#, PowerShell or SQL is desirable.
Systems Integration/Interfacing experience on control systems on wider production systems a plus.
Experience of DCS, SCADA and benchtop systems in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
Must have a valid EU Work Permit and Irish Residency Please no agencies Preferred: Networking experience (Cisco Hardware) Familiarity with Aveva PI system integration.
Automation System Validation Experience Hyper V experience.
Will consider candidates who have automation systems experience in other manufacturing environments, subject to experience and qualifications criteria being met.
