About the Role
As our Digital Archivist, you will play a key role within the Archive team with specific responsibility for the digital archive collection. You will be the technical lead for the Archive team to ensure the long-term access and preservation of born digital and digitised archive material. This will involve strong project management skills as you will be implementing a Digital Preservation Management System to handle digital records. With your digital first approach attitude, you will lead all aspects of the preservation system from cataloguing to ingest to secure storage.
You will effectively and collaboratively work with the Archive Manager and will use the knowledge acquired from the collection to deliver outstanding expertise to all users, internal and external, in an efficient and inspirational manner. You will be a true storyteller as well as a Brand Ambassador for Guinness and its impactful story. The role will involve interaction with the media, VIPs and senior partners within Diageo to bring the story of our brands to life.
In order to ensure we are celebrating the heritage of our brands, you will handle the internal communications strategy, ensuring the Archive remains relevant and top of mind to key internal collaborators.
About You
This is the dream role for someone who is looking to join an impactful, dedicated and inspirational team who are at the heart of the Guinness story.
You will hold a MA in Archives and Records Management, with 5 years plus professional experience. You will have a consistent record of working with digital collections and be able to effectively run multiple digital projects with the ability to work to deadlines and to perform work with accuracy, perseverance and attention to detail.
As the role requires extensive stakeholder management responsibilities, you will be able to build trustworthy relationships with a number of internal and external collaborators and partners. As you will be seen as an ambassador of the brand you will hold the ability to encourage and empower audiences when presenting.
