About the Role
The Sourcing Procurement Lead position is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to leverage relationships across the enterprise to achieve the best total value. This includes managing the seven steps of the sourcing process: Spend analysis, Market Research, Supplier Due Diligence, Sourcing Strategy, RFX Management, Bid Analysis, and Contract Management and Supplier Performance Management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Working in an agile way, switching between categories with a large supply base to meet business demands.
2. Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, core competencies using industry cost models, RFX development and execution, proposal evaluation, total cost of ownership, and supplier selection recommendation (upon partner approval and completion of successful negotiation and contracting).
3. Performing analysis of financial and business data related to supplier proposals and capability assessments to support the development of Verizon's supply base, including ownership and management of key suppliers and partners.
4. Developing, managing, and leading cross-functional teams (CFT), running strategic sourcing processes, contract negotiation, contract administration, utilizing sourcing systems, supervising supplier performance, analyzing financial data, business planning, administration, and analysis.
5. Leading negotiations on contract terms with suppliers at Senior Management level and executing the contract in liaison with the Legal and Contract Management Team to bring in best possible cost service guarantee and develop
