JOB SUMMARY
My client is one of Ireland’s leading Mechanical Service Contractors, specialising in the design, supply and installation of mechanical solutions to all sectors, nationwide from concept to completion.
They are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mechanical Site Manager to oversee their commercial projects in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive expertise in air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, piping, and related systems. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and package.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee and manage all mechanical aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
3. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
4. Lead and supervise a team of mechanical engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
5. Conduct regular site meetings to ensure clear communication and coordination among team members.
6. Ensure all mechanical works are carried out in compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
7. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality workmanship.
8. Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on site.
9. Conduct risk assessments and ensure all team members are aware of safety procedures.
10. Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
11. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or queries.
12. Provide regular progress updates and reports to clients and stakeholders.
13. Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
14. Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
15. Manage project resources efficiently to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
16. Maintain accurate records of labour, materials, and equipment usage.
17. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, and piping.
18. Ensure all systems are installed correctly and operate efficiently.
19. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
20. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
21. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
22. Proven track record of managing mechanical installations for commercial buildings.
23. In-depth knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, and piping systems.
24. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
25. Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
26. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
27. Ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
28. Proficient in project management software and tools.
