**Civil Resident Engineer – Water Role Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Resident Engineer – Water to oversee water network improvements in the North East of Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to join our team and lead projects that deliver essential infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Regional Contractors to ensure projects meet contract and legislative requirements.
* Liaise with Local Authorities to deliver projects efficiently.
* Conduct Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) audits and manage related issues.
* Process work orders and approve service requests.
* Update project trackers and review as-laid drawings.
* Work with IW Design Engineers to clarify project details.
* Address complaints and provide feedback to Regional Leads and IW.
* Attend and manage meetings with contractors and IW.
* Maintain accurate records and create lists of snags for sign-off.
* Conduct site visits before works commence to anticipate potential issues and provide feedback to IW Design Engineers.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years' experience in onsite supervision and site engineering of civil engineering works, including water projects.
* Degree in a relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering.
* Ability to write clear and concise reports and maintain accurate works records.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
* Current and valid SafePass card; Confined Spaces training desirable.
