What’s the Role: Support Worker
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Brookwood, Co. Dublin
Brookwood is a children’s residential service for children between the ages of 9 and 18 years old with an intellectual disability/autism. At present this service is caring and supporting one resident to reach their full potential and achieve their desired goals throughout all aspects of their life.
In this role no two days are the same with our staff reporting that it is a fulfilling and rewarding role. You will be provided with bespoke training when you start which will prepare you to support the individual with their unique and individual needs. The care provided is person centred and is based around the individual needs of the service user. If you are interested in making a positive contribution to someone’s life, this is the role for you.

Salary Details:
Support Worker
Full-t ime, part- t ime and relief c ontracts available
€27,990 - €38,844
per annum
(Dependant on Qualification)
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €90.40 per night applies* A driving license and access to a car are desirable.
