Corporate Communications & Public Affairs Executive | Public Sector | Contract The Client: Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Executive to join their organisation on a fixed-term contract basis. This key role will report directly to the Head of the Department and the successful candidate will work closely with the wider team to ensure timely delivery of the organisation's Communications strategy. The Role: Support the development of the organisation's strategy, though planning and implementing PR campaigns required Develop improved communication channels and providing quality information to key external stakeholders Work with colleagues to create an annual PR and public affairs plan to support key objectives Work closely with other sections to respond to media queries Assist in the provision of an effective press office function Provision of advice pertaining to crisis communications, should the need arise Monitor media developments and media coverage on an ongoing basis Provide a support and advisory service to relevant management and all staff members Plan proactive media events, engagements, and campaigns Organise stakeholder events, including launches and partnership events as required Manage high level editorial meetings with key media contacts Support and train staff to engage with media Support the organisation in engaging with key political stakeholders Act as spokesperson, when required Requirements: Educated to Level 8 level in Communications, PR, Journalism or equivalent qualification Previous experience in a similar role essential, ideally at senior level Capable of delivering PR programmes from concept to delivery Experience in drafting of briefings and presentations for political stakeholder events Experience in managing media relations and acting s a spokesperson with strong knowledge of Irish government process and public policy Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a on/off site team environment, self-manage and prioritise daily workload Effective communication skills with the ability to lead and influence at all levels Strong analytical and problem-solving skills In Return: Salary circa €80k 1 year agency contract with provision for extension to 3 year term Hybrid working arrangement Option to be based in Cork, Dublin or Mayo WHY WORK WITH STAFFLINE RECRUITMENT IRELAND?
