Director of Architecture Finance TechnologyRole PurposeJoin our dynamic Global Finance Technology, BI & Innovation team and become a pivotal player in steering the financial and operational future of our rapidly growing organisation. Reporting to the Director of Global Fin Tech, BI & Innovation, this role will own the architectural design and facilitate the development of our finance technology and data footprint. Ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements. Designing technical solutions that streamline finance processes, enhance data integrity, and improve decision-making. Crafting cutting-edge, scalable solutions to intricate cross-divisional requirements and technical infrastructures whilst pioneering innovative technologies to unearth deeper insights into our business.Our overarching objective is to develop an efficient, resilient, scalable, and highly effective technology platform for Finance which caters for the current and expected future requirements of the business – an objective labelled ‘One Group – One Platform’. This is an objective that will not stand still, given the continued organic and inorganic growth of the Group and the fast-evolving external technology landscape, including the growth in AI & GEN AI.The implementation of a single technology platform is central to the Group’s ability to operate effectively as a large US Listed company, in terms of establishing a robust and integrated USGAAP Financial Reporting and Sox Controls environment, that will scale and evolve as the Group expands. It is also the key to unlocking significant efficiencies across Global CFO, through increased standardisation, centralisation, and the creation of centres of excellence. The Finance Technology ‘one platform’ comprises Oracle ERP (EBS & Cloud), Oracle EPM, Accurate, Treasury Management Systems, Reporting & Automation tools including, Alteryx, Looker, Retool, Tableau, and others.Key to this, is the development of a well-governed and scalable technical infrastructure, working with an expert team to develop and manage the Global Finance Technology and Data Ecosystem, with integrated Sox and Cyber Controls as a prerequisite.Technical Responsibilities SummarySystem Design and Development Responsible for designing and developing architecture solutions that meet the technical and business requirements for Flutter CFO and Divisional Finance organisations. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:Work closely with business leaders, end-users, and IT teams to understand business needs, technical constraints, and user expectations. Translate requirements into technical specifications and design architecture solutions that address functional and non-functional requirements.Technology Evaluation and Selection:Evaluate technology options and make recommendations for technology selection based on organisational needs and strategic goals. Assess the suitability of hardware and software components, evaluate vendor solutions.Data/Data GovernanceCollaborate on data strategy with stakeholders across CFOLead or contribute to data-related projects and initiativesSystem Integration and Interoperability:Develop architecture designs that enable seamless communication and data exchange between different systems, applications, and platforms. Performance Optimisation and Scalability:Optimise system performance and scalability by designing architecture solutions that are efficient, reliable, and scalable. Assess performance requirements and design architecture solutions that can scale to accommodate growing workload demands and support business growth.Documentation and Communication:Document architecture designs, technical specifications, and implementation plans. communicate architecture concepts, decisions, and recommendations to stakeholders, project teams, and divisional Technology organisations. Facilitate collaboration and alignment between business and IT stakeholders and ensure that architecture solutions meet the needs and expectations of all parties involved.Automation & Innovation: Support the growing needs in terms of automation and controls in our global finance organisation through designing and recommending of appropriate automation approaches and methodologyTechnology architecture considerations should also be factored in, to assess where automation is required and ‘value add’Explore and engage with automation, AI and machine learning concepts and technologies.Support automation solutions that leverage these technologies for enhanced data insights and automation.Risk & Controls:Consider the linkages into Oracle, EPM, TMS, and other Tech tools in the armoury to develop a robust and Sox compliant governance framework, including User Access Management, Change Management, Cyber, and other sources of risk.Ensure that our technology Risk Mgt. & Governance team is properly connected with Enterprise risk, Cyber and Sox teams.Design architecture solutions with a focus on security and compliance. Ensure that architecture solutions comply with Sox regulations, standards, and best practices related to data security and privacy.Key Skills Ability to Liaise with divisional finance and technology teams to understand requirements and provide problem statement/solution.Deep understanding of the role of finance and finance processes in a fast-growing companyWork across the Global Fin Tech group to analyse solutions (current tech. stack/new applications/data flows/automation)Understand data flows/governance – create opportunity to automate though data consistency and divisional integrationsProduce roadmaps, integration architecture, and flow diagrams of current state, in-process and future state solutions for Financial Systems including Oracle e-business suite (EBS), Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Oracle Cloud EPM, Internal and third-party Applications.Engage with finance and technology functions across Flutter, to define integration solutions for the expanding Flutter brand landscape, facilitated through both organic and acquisition growth strategies. Provide expertise in driving forward solutions for applications, ensuring alignment with the business and technical strategic vision and goalsTechnical design and development skills relating to Oracle ERP/Cloud/EPM and ancillary finance systemsProvide integration guidance to team, and design and develop complex integrations between On-Prem, third party Apps and Cloud based systemsExperience Minimum 12yrs + experience in similar role in a multinational organisationExperience as an ERP Architect or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting requirements.Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering & analysis in a divisional organisationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to build trust and respect at different levels.Experience of Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM is a distinct advantageExtensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plansExcellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skillsExceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilitiesAble to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentCompany OverviewFlutter Entertainment Plc is the largest global sports betting, gaming and entertainment provider, operating some of the world's most innovative, diverse and distinctive brands.
