Accounts Assistant (Part-Time) Job Description
Summary:
An experienced Accounts Assistant is sought for a part-time role, initially on a 3-month contract with a strong view to permanency. The successful candidate will take responsibility for day-to-day Accounts Payable and Receivable activities within a well-established team.
Responsibilities:
* Processing approximately €100k in invoices per week.
* Conducting payroll services for over 30 staff members.
* Processing 50+ unique high-value invoices per month.
* Preparing Bank, Credit, and Debit reconciliations.
* Managing supplier and vendor relationships, preparing and executing supplier payments.
* Preparing and processing expenses through Excel.
* Preparing weekly payment runs and VAT returns.
* Conducting credit control and accounts receivable tasks.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to confirm payment and invoice approvals.
* Recording supplier payments and supplier invoices.
* Contributing to the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3-5 years of Accounts Assistant experience.
* Experience dealing with payments, receivables, and reconciliations.
* Manual and automated invoice processing experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Team player with proven ability to collaborate effectively with a small team.
* Strong IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems.
