Due to our ongoing success securing large-scale projects, we have a requirement for a Senior/Principal Instrumentation Engineer to join our Instrumentation Department in Dublin. To be successful and to enjoy the challenge of this position, the role will suit a Senior Engineer who has previously led large projects (TIC > €200MM) from concept to completion. With high levels of commitment, your responsibilities will include leading various stages of design from concept to completion. We are focused on growing a sustainable business centred around our people, our clients, and trade partners.Responsibilities:Leading an Instrumentation Team on various projects as part of a multidiscipline project team.Analysing complex engineering problems and offering effective solutions.Providing support to fee and capital budget proposals as required.Assembling and managing bid, approval, and construction issue Instrumentation packages in an efficient and lean manner.Mentoring Instrumentation engineering staff at junior and intermediate levels, as required.Checking other Instrumentation engineers' work for accuracy and quality and undertake peer reviews.Extensive and independent contact with clients, vendor representatives, and project field personnel.Attending and participating in client and PM Group meetings.Direct and/or participate in project site visits to monitor, review, and sign-off Instrument installations.Desirable Competencies:Integrity: Upholds ethics and PM Group values, demonstrates integrity as a person who is trusted by others and consistently honours their commitments.Communication: Makes presentations and undertakes public speaking with skill and confidence; regularly monitors the communication network between stakeholders.Innovator: Produces new/innovative ideas/designs, approaches, or insights to problems.Adaptable: Approaches change/new ideas positively and drives change to improve systems.Positive outlook at work: Keeps emotions under control during difficult situations; identifies issues and problems; makes timely decisions; develops appropriate and innovative solutions.Entrepreneurial: Keeps up to date with competitor information and market trends; identifies business opportunities for the organisation.Qualifications:Third Level Degree in Instrumentation Engineering (NFQ Level 8) or similar discipline.10+ years of formal experience in industrial engineering design.Demonstrable advanced experience in the complete suite of Instrumentation engineering design services.Proficient in the use of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) & digital project delivery is an advantage.Advanced knowledge of all applicable Instrumentation engineering codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.Commercially aware and have the ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies.Skilled in project execution, budget control, resource planning, and change management.Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents.Professional approach and demeanour.A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection, and business.
