My Dublin City Centre based client is currently recruiting for a IT Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be hybrid working. Job Responsibilities Lead and manage the IT department, ensuring high-quality service delivery aligned with organisational goals and industry standards. Supervise and mentor a team of 10+ IT professionals, including team leaders, to achieve departmental objectives. Oversee daily operations and long-term strategies for a multifaceted IT department. Act as the primary liaison between IT, senior management, and business stakeholders to address all IT-related matters. Collaborate with other departments to identify IT requirements and design tailored solutions. Oversee the implementation of new technologies, guiding internal teams and external service providers. Ensure seamless integration and functionality of critical systems, including Website, ERP, and WMS platforms, for efficient policy and order processing. Maintain a secure, reliable, and fully operational IT infrastructure. Implement governance structures to ensure effective IT service delivery and project execution. Develop and enforce policies to meet regulatory and security standards. Formulate and execute IT strategies to support organisational goals. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service agreements, and ensure performance metrics are met. Create and implement IT-related policies, standards, and frameworks in line with best practices. Direct IT security efforts and disaster recovery planning. Oversee IT budget management, aligning expenditures with organisational priorities. Lead infrastructure and upgrade projects, ensuring successful delivery. Contribute to business process improvement initiatives. Stay informed on emerging technologies that could benefit the organisation. Experience Required Extensive IT management experience, with a minimum of 10 years in IT roles and a focus on leadership and service excellence. Industry knowledge of insurance or financial services is advantageous. Proven ability to lead and develop IT teams, with experience managing 10+ staff. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a capacity to juggle multiple priorities. Expertise in leveraging ERP systems, particularly in insurance, to support decision-making through effective reporting. Proficient in structured project management frameworks with a track record of successful project execution. Strong understanding of business processes and the application of technology to enhance efficiency. Skilled in vendor and relationship management. Comprehensive knowledge of INFOSEC, with an emphasis on cybersecurity. Analytical mindset with problem-solving expertise. Experience in digital transformation and managing complex IT projects. Strategic thinker with strong operational execution capabilities. Proficient in disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Familiarity with data protection regulations and their implications for ICT operations. Essential and Desirable Skills Minimum of 10 years in IT management, including 7 years in leadership roles, ideally in insurance or financial services. Educational Requirements Bachelors or Masters degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as ITIL, PMP, CISM, or PRINCE II.
