Finance Manager - St Luke's Charity & Home- Cork
St Luke's Charity and Home, a leading provider of residential care, education, and daycare for the older person specialising in dementia and Alzheimer care is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our management team.
About Us
We operate a 128 bed long stay nursing home on the shores of Loughmahon in Cork. We are widely recognised as one of the foremost providers of residential care and day care services. We are also responsible for operating a dedicated Education and Research Centre (Northridge House at Saint Lukes Cork) with particular expertise in dementia care. Our vision is to expand our reach and continue improving the quality of life for the older person throughout the community.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in our management team, leading and ensuring prudent management of our financial resources. You will be responsible for all aspects of our financial operations, including payroll, pensions, financial planning & will have an understanding of investments. This role offers strong career progression and great opportunities to automate and streamline existing processes, driving and implementing change.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the organisation's financial operations, including payroll, pensions and cash control (2 direct reports)
* Prepare and review monthly and annual financial reports to set deadlines
* Drive the annual budget planning process and monitor performance
* Work closely with department heads on budgeting and financial planning
* Develop and maintain internal control systems
* Oversee payroll and time and attendance systems and manage relationships with key stakeholders
* Provide strategic financial guidance to the Senior Management Team and Board of Directors
Required Qualifications
* Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office suite
* Expert knowledge of Sage accounting software
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven IT capabilities
