The role will focus on the industrial utilities sector and also the commercial, public and buildings sectors.The role will give the successful candidate exposure and experience across the divisions of energy, waste and water and interaction with suppliers, clients, institutional bodies and operations. Some international travel may also be required.Day to day of the role:Identification, analysis, design, costing and project management of energy conservation projectsPerforming in-depth investment grade audits, producing revenue and energy savings projection modelsOriginating project development plans and drafting contract scopes of work for tendering exercisesDefining performance specifications for equipment supplier and contractorsCarrying out tender evaluations and contract negotiationsSupport the implementation team with the development of project schedules and budgetsSupport existing and new Veolia sites with the development of monitoring and targeting systems and key performance indicators that will assist the delivery and maintenance of long term energy reductionsA flexible working nature, the ability to drive to Veolia sites throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and an excellent client-facing nature is a must.The Energy Manager will support existing and new Veolia sites with the development of monitoring and targeting systems and key performance indicators that will assist the delivery and maintenance of long term energy reductions and will also pro-actively seek to identify energy and carbon saving opportunities for Veolia and our clients.Lead projects from a technical and techno-economic (e.g. costs, savings, payback, financial model, revenue streams, Veolia and client risks etc) perspective.Manage and have direct line management responsibility for individuals and / or teamsDrive innovation in project identification and delivery, and internally through systems and team performance.
