Clinical Nurse Manager Position Overview
The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is a senior clinical position that reports to both the Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing. The role provides clinical leadership, manages day-to-day clinical practices in the home, and oversees staff rostering, delegation, supervision, performance, development, clinical governance, and risk assessment.
Daily Activities:
* Checking staff rosters and securing cover for absences
* Communicating effectively with staff, residents, and relatives to ensure smooth operation
* Attending handovers and reviewing resident progress daily
* Implementing Company Health and Safety Policy to safeguard staff, resident, and others' safety and welfare
Skills and Attributes:
* Excellent Leadership, Organizational, and Communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a senior management team
* Sound decision-making ability
* Motivating self and others, working on own initiative, and promoting teamwork
* Appreciation of finance issues
* Results-driven
Qualifications:
* First-level registration as a nurse
* Registered on the appropriate part of the Irish live register
* Evidence of continuous Professional Development
* Previous management experience
