What We Need:
2K is looking for a Director, Lifecycle Management to join the publishing team focused on a new AAA IP. Reporting to the Vice President of Integrated Marketing, the Director of Lifecycle Management will develop & lead the strategies that drive player engagement, retention, monetization, acquisition, and reacquisition. You’re an innovative, data informed, obsessively player focused, and collaborative leader looking for your next challenge.
What You Will Do:
LIfecycle Management:
1. Develop the player ecosystem -- partner with insights team to identify player segments, audience cohorts; identify the channels and functionality needed to deliver tailored experiences that drive engagement, retention, monetization, acquisition, and reacquisition.
2. Collaborate across multiple disciplines and teams to develop channel operating workflows.
3. Own the 365 persistent player conversion campaigns in live service. Collaborate with the product and game teams to drive player cohorts towards high value actions that achieve our lifecycle product & business goals.
4. Partner with product & insights teams to map out player lifecycles and develop new engagement & retention strategies, trends and opportunities - rooted in a deep understanding of live-ops for digital games.
5. Set the vision for and lead Lifecycle Management channels in building and carrying out ongoing experiments, tests, and plans.
6. Build player journey maps for different cohorts and goals. Update and reprioritize them as the business and product evolve.
7. Manage and evaluate critical metrics across channels and efforts. Produce regular reports on results and develop plans to improve those results.
Leadership, Collaboration, and Communication
8. Be an impactful and influential partner cross functionally, building the credibility to add value to the product and business strategy, as well as negotiate the best for our players.
9. Create an environment that inspires and empowers the team to do their best strategic thinking and work.
10. Define resourcing needs and act as hiring manager for additional Lifecycle resource needs for the team.
11. Lead and grow your team, further developing roles and responsibilities to ensure clarity, as well as career development plans and OKR’s for the team.
12. Regularly partner, present and report to studio leadership and 2K stakeholders on LIfecycle Management strategies, plans, findings, results and recommendations that influence product and marketing roadmaps in service of our players.
13. Oversee and/or direct the tasks and progress of both direct and indirect reports, conducting meetings to touch base, observe, and guide team production as necessary.
What Will Make You a Great Fit:
14. A proven track record (8-10+ years) as a Lifecycle Management leader in live service games.
15. You love serving players in a way that starts with engagement and fun but ends with a successful business and healthy, sustainable ecosystem.
16. You enjoy working across a publishing organization and development teams while orchestrating execution excellence.
17. Strong knowledge and proficiency with Lifecycle reporting tools, with a keen sense of what, why and how metrics need to be delivered on.
18. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
19. Powerful presentation skills with the ability to create compelling presentations to support strategy and thinking, as well as present to both peers and reports, and company leadership.
20. Strong team management skills and cross-functional leadership competency, with an understanding of a matrixed organization and how to navigate.
21. A strong leader who can make critical decisions quickly, while taking a measured approach to risk, and be willing to have the hard conversations when needed.
22. Flexibility and the ability to pivot directions when needed.
