Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of facility users in the area assigned to them on each shift. This includes health and safety responsibilities, as well as customer service duties.
Responsibilities:
* Health & Safety: Responsible for the safety of all customers in the assigned area.
* Prevent customers and staff from using faulty or broken equipment.
* Wear uniform and follow management instructions on safe attire and footwear.
* Report unsafe conditions or equipment to Duty Manager/Team Leader.
* Be aware of emergency procedures and assist in controlling emergency situations.
Standards:
* Be vigilant in rotation zones and alert at all times.
* Enforce facility policies, rules and regulations.
* Responsible for safe handling, transportation and storage of centre equipment.
* Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for different activities and events.
Customer Service:
* Demonstrate excellent customer care skills.
* Deal with customers in a friendly, polite and professional manner.
Training and Technical Requirements:
* Maintain a valid and in-date pool lifeguard qualification.
* Maintain high level of fitness (strength and endurance).
* Maintain skills, fitness and knowledge to a standard that passes regular Company assessments.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in a similar role an advantage.
* Adequate level of fitness essential.
