Servisource is currently recruiting a Decarbonised Heat & System Supports Specialists for a public sector Contract length: 18-month contract Salary: €72,511 pa Working week: Monday to Friday - 35h/week Location:Dublin, Dundalk, Cork, or Sligo. 2 roles available: 1. Single Point of Contact (SPC) for Renewable Energy Consenting Monitoring Specialist AND 2. District Heating Centre of Excellence Specialist KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS - Expertise in performing and coordinating complex analysis of emerging areas, applying to real world scenarios, and advising actions. - Demonstrated proactive approach to achieving end to end project/programme delivery, including managing scope, time, risk assessment, cost, and quality. - Ability to communicate complex arrangements and business development to project sponsors. - Excellent project management and organisational skills - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpretive skills with an ability to think strategically and use sound judgement on complex issues. - A capacity to build positive working relationship with colleagues and external stakeholders; to work in multi-disciplinary teams and to network effectively. - A flexible approach to problem solving and decision making to ensure the best solution is achieved focusing on the need for greater efficiency and effective delivery. - Good numeracy skills, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Ability to multitask, manage competing demands and work effectively to deadlines. - Ability to work on own initiative. - Well-developed IT skills. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS - A degree (Level 7 on NFQ) or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science, Business or Economics. - Minimum 4 years experience of working in this or a related sector or in a similar role (can include post-graduate studies). - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presenting, public speaking, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences. - Proven attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. - Excellent team-player skills and flexibility. RESPONSABILITIESspecific to the Single Point of Contact for Renewable Energy Consenting Monitoring Specialist role: - Support the Programme Manager in the design of the Single Point of Contact for Consenting Monitoring portal, providing expert advice. - Lead the portal development process, liaising with key stakeholders and service providers. - Manage relevant finance processes to support the function. - Manage process for procurement of third-party consultancy services. - Management of external consultants. - Represent client at meetings and events (including presentations and speaking engagements). DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge of the energy sector, particularly in energy efficiency and renewable energy in business and industry, would be a distinct advantage. - Working experience engaging with the Irish renewable energy consenting regime. - Legal/regulatory experience applied to the Irish consenting regime. - Experience in the design and development of web-based portals. - A qualification in project management - Knowledge/ Experience of working in the Public Sector. - Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and managing projects involving a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. RESPOINSABILITIESspecific to the District Heating Centre of Excellence Specialistrole: - Support the Programme Manager in the establishment and management of the District Heating Centre of Excellence, providing expert advice. - Lead a range District Heating Centre of Excellence project activity in line with programme objectives such as support initiatives for district heating. - Participating in strategic policy development supporting both national policy such as the Heat Bill and other cleint priorities. - Manage process for procurement of third-party consultancy services. - Management of external consultants. - Represent client at meetings and events (including presentations and speaking engagements). DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge of the energy sector, particularly in energy efficiency and renewable energy in business and industry, would be a distinct advantage. - Knowledge of strategically important subject matter areas required for decarbonised heat policy needs. - Experience and expertise in district heating development. - Commercial management expertise in district heating with knowledge of business model development, procurement, negotiation, risk management, governance, contract management - Experience in delivering grant programmes. - A qualification in project management. - Knowledge/ Experience of working in the Public Sector. - Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and managing projects involving a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
