If so we are looking for you, an experienced junior chef/cook for our busy hostel Kitchen. In this role you will be supporting the Head Chef in the day to day running of the Kitchen from HACCP compliance, kitchen cleanliness, wash-up, food ordering stock taking, meal prep, menu design. Role Snapshot
As junior chef/cook, you will be supporting the team to make sure that daily kitchen service is a success from prepping for breakfast to prepping and cooking dishes for the evening. Essentially, you will food prep, cook orders, ensuring all equipment in the kitchen is operating fully, clean & safe, supporting with wash-up and general kitchen cleanliness, ensuring we have enough stock ordered etc. You can input with menu creation and be as adventurous as you like while maintaining costs. There is a huge opportunity here to learn a lot in terms of running a kitchen, HACCP compliance, financials and menu design.
Who are you?
You are someone who loves food, loves to be inventive and create new dishes, be passionate and want to learn more to keep improving. You will be in direct contact with guests, so some level of customer service skills is essential, and you can work well under pressure. We want you to have fun, be energetic and be open to new challenges. The kitchen is open seven days per week and you are required to work five days over seven including weekends and mostly afternoon into evening shifts.

What you need to have:
1. Ability to work full time in Ireland with no restrictions
2. Min 2 years experience cooking in a commercial kitchen environment
