The Role Work closely within the Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams to support and improve the manufacturing and testing of electronic products at an electronic hardware and system level.
Work directly with other process engineers and technicians to ensure problems impacting delivery to schedule and quality of product are resolved in a timely fashion.
Training and mentoring of process engineers and technicians.
Troubleshoot processes, equipment, and parts to find root cause of issues.
Implement corrective actions to resolve issues and preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
Participate in New Product Introduction projects, with a focus on Test methods development, validation and implementation.
Developing and executing new processes, tools, fixtures and automation solutions to continual improve our processes.
Working with supplier quality engineers to resolve issues with product quality or supplier processes.
Validation and Verification activities for engineer change, process and equipment.
Duties within the QMS, generation of appropriate change management, technical instructions, etc.
JOB CHALLENGES Multi-disciplinary experience dealing with both electo-mechanical and software elements of instruments Broad Engineering experience with ability to design, validate and implement product tests.
Products are electromechanical devices, so knowledge of electromechanical and SW development of test methods is required.
Ability to understand functional requirements and design risks in a product and from this develop suitable test strategies.
Strong SQL /Db experience to develop methods to capture and present production and test data.
Proven skills in faulting finding/root cause analysis of product and processes problems and implementation of preventative and corrective actions.
The ability to work under pressure and to schedule deadlines.
High attention to detail and quality of work.
Excellent communications skills, both spoken and written.
Key areas of responsibility:
SME expert for process engineering on test methods and test generation.
Working with R&D team in the design transfer process to develop, validate and implement suitable test methodologies.
Production support including review and update of current test and data capture methods within production.
Production support to ensure problems are resolved with minimal impact on the delivery schedule whilst maintaining quality standards.
Expertise in supporting production supporting software applications and validation.
Change Management.
Implementing required changes in the production environment.
Training and mentoring of process engineers and technicians.
Developing and executing new processes, tools, fixtures and automation solutions to continual improve our processes.
Validation and Verification activities for engineering changes, process and equipment.
Adherence to all H&S, IS, QMS and GDP requirements.
Following Housekeeping and Hygiene standards.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Degree level, or equivalent, qualification is a related area.
Industry experience.
Strong Manufacturing, electromechanical/automation/ test engineering skillset.
Knowledge and experience with programming languages for test development, e.g LabVIEW, C#, C, C++ etc.
SQL experience for data management and reporting.
Software validation experience.
