Junior Design Engineer – Medical Device Industry
We are partnering with a leading innovator in the medical device sector to find a motivated Junior Design Engineer ready to contribute to groundbreaking projects. This role is based in Tuam, offering a dynamic team environment with substantial growth opportunities in the industry.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Design Engineer, you will:
1. Collaborate with project teams and clients to communicate updates and gather feedback.
2. Support customers, sales, design, and manufacturing teams with technical guidance.
3. Manage and update 3D CAD project models and develop production-related documentation.
4. Design, evaluate, and optimise mechanical components using customer specifications and in-house concepts.
5. Create and refine prototypes to enhance product functionality and manufacturability.
6. Produce detailed assembly drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Requirements
7. Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling; Autodesk Inventor is advantageous.
8. Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Willingness to undertake local and international travel for project collaboration.
10. A minimum of a Level 7 or 8 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
