Financial Controller Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our client's team at their hotel in Galway. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing financial performance.
Your Role:
* Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize financial performance.
* Oversee financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control.
* Work closely with the General Manager to achieve finance objectives and meet deadlines.
* Collaborate with other departments to drive cost efficiencies and maximize profitability.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Coordinate weekly financial reports, including payroll stats and revenue forecasts.
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and timely submission of audit books, VAT returns, payroll taxes, etc.
Your Profile:
* 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in hospitality.
* Ideally experience leading a finance/accounting team.
* Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel, and accounting software.
* Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
