Overview:
The purpose of the role is to procure all labels, packaging, print, oils, bottles, caps, and other components required for production. Manage the suppliers' delivery commitments in line with production schedules, supplier selection, and drive cost-saving initiatives through sourcing initiatives. Work closely with doTERRA Design/Sourcing/Engineering and Quality teams to ensure alignment on content and quality. The role will require a good knowledge of packaging and print production processes and experience negotiating with suppliers on the best total cost of ownership.
Responsibilities:
* Procure ALL print and packaging items and raw materials required for the production of doTERRA products.
* Manage all related Print, Packaging, and raw material suppliers on pricing, delivery performance, scheduling, and support any quality issues associated with the suppliers.
* Develop cost reduction programs with the suppliers in conjunction with doTERRA corporate procurement and engineering.
* Identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership, including kanban models and other inventory models to improve cash-flow.
* Review artwork in conjunction with the supplier and the design team.
* Work together with the European Product teams to develop solutions that support compliance design of labels and print and packaging.
* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between Quality, Engineering Product development, and Operations to meet project goals and deadlines.
* Working knowledge of SAP 4/HANA essential, particularly Procurement, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management.
* Investigate quality complaints, where applicable, in support of Plant and/or Corporate.
* Communicate on-time delivery performance and delivery schedules as needed to support the weekly planning cycle.
* Work closely with production managers, warehouse, quality & engineering, and stakeholders to ensure supply meets the production/customer demand schedules.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing in product development and release cycles.
* Proactively identify risks, manage defect processes, and ensure quick issue resolution.
* Plan and think logically to ensure clear communication on priorities, commitments, and delivery.
Job Qualifications:
* Business/Engineering/Other degree desirable.
* APICS/IIPMM Qualification desirable.
* SAP user experience essential.
* 2 years plus in a buyer or buyer/planner role required.
