Job Summary
This role involves performing complex technical work such as designing, manufacturing, and operating structures, machines, and systems under broad supervision and guidelines.
The successful candidate will provide chemical and materials expertise to support the company's medical device portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment to make minor adaptations and modifications.
* Investigating a moderate number of technical variables in completing assignments with clear and defined objectives.
* Performing work involving conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing test methods to verify hypothesis of chemical and materials technologies.
Additionally, they will be able to design and develop test methods to predict performance of polymeric materials, products, and technologies.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or related technical field.
* 5+ years of related experience.
* Ability to apply analytical skills and scientific technical principles in problem-solving and development.
* Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database, and other applicable software programs.
