CFO Opportunity in a Growing Renewables Business
Barden is delighted to be appointed by the CEO of a rapidly expanding business to identify a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the leadership team. The company is a leader in the renewables space and has achieved significant milestones in recent years, positioning itself for further advancements.
The CEO seeks a driven individual who can help the company attain its ambitious targets. Key traits include commercial acumen, risk awareness, strategic thinking, and natural leadership capabilities.
Role Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.
* Provide insights into long-term financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and investment strategies.
* Monitor cash flow, optimizing working capital, ensuring a balance between growth and financial stability.
* Oversee preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
* Communicate financial performance to the board of directors, investors, and stakeholders.
* Manage monthly management accounts and monthly variance analysis & operational KPIs.
* Supervise accounting, auditing, and financial control functions.
* Lead the finance team and ensure accuracy of financial data and internal controls.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks affecting profitability.
* Oversee insurance, hedging, and other strategies to manage financial risk.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and taxation obligations, mitigating exposures and optimizing available structures.
* Analyse and control operational costs to maximize profitability.
* Collaborate with other departments to improve financial performance and cost-efficiency across the organization.
Relationship Management:
* Serve as primary liaison between the company and external stakeholders, such as banks, revenue authorities, and financial institutions.
* Key point of contact to the board and investors.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with Big 4 experience and 8-10+ years post-qualification.
* High commercial awareness, excellent analytical, technical, IT skills, and advanced MS Excel knowledge.
* Extensive management experience, excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Desirable experience includes work in a high-growth business.
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum
