Key Responsibilities As Site Engineer
* Responsible for supporting the Project Manager with the day-to-day running of the project.
* Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Review detailed design, critique and communicate with designers to ensure adequate design is available for construction.
* Coordinate the development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings or technical information from subcontractors.
* Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
* Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved.
* Ordering and control of materials on site.
* Maintaining site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors.
* Good self-management, accuracy in own work, elimination of re-work, and contractual awareness.
* Checking plans, drawings, and supervision of setting out coordination.
* As an Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out and levelling of sites.
* The Engineer will resolve unexpected technical difficulties and you will deal with any problems which arise.
* Attending regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress.
* Quality management and BCAR coordination.
* Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site and ensuring that regulations are adhered to.
* Supervise direct staff and sub-contractors.
* Handle technical queries when necessary and interface with the client, consultant, and architect regarding RFIs.
Qualifications/Experience
* Engineering Degree
* Client/Consultant interface regarding RFIs.
* Confident in supervising site works.
* Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
