Electrical Engineer
Location: Askeaton, Co. Limerick
Contract: 2-Year Fixed Term (with a view to permanency depending on business needs)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams (E&I engineers, DCS engineers, operations) to implement designs
- Conduct equipment surveys and generate reports on site installations
- Create and update as-built drawings and technical documentation
- Produce electrical design drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Specify and procure E&I equipment to meet relevant standards
- Prepare all project-related documents:
- Health and safety plans
- Specifications
- Bills of materials
- Purchase orders
- Liaise with internal teams and contractors during installation and commissioning phases
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and testing of electrical and instrument systems
- Work with plant teams to optimise system performance
- Ensure equipment is recorded in the Maintenance Management System
- Provide regular project updates on status, schedule, and budget
Key Requirements
- Level 7/8 qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience preferred
- AutoCAD experience, ability to read/generate wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with E&I standards and electrical installations
Project Scope
- Involvement in a variety of CAPEX and OPEX projects
- Focus on safety, environmental, and process improvements
- Design, specification, procurement, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems
