For this position, you will need to be living in the Republic of Ireland. We are looking for people living in CONNAUGHT - Especially in Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo.
This role operates as a "Self-Employed Contractor" and you will be covering work as a Food Safety Auditor in the Republic of Ireland. This is not an employed position and offers work between 1 and 3 days a week.
You will be responsible for delivering non-accredited food safety audits for the Retail Team in your region.
You will need:
1. A minimum of a relevant 3rd Level Qualification (levels 6 to 10 in the National Framework of Qualifications). Relevant courses include sciences, food technology, or environmental health.
2. 3 years experience in retail auditing.
Training will be offered for these specific audits.
You will deliver high-quality assessments/audits and inspections that meet customers’ specific requirements in an efficient and professional manner.
Through providing effective support, you will be responsible for:
1. Providing your monthly availability for the proposed work.
2. Planning and managing the work given within the timescales agreed with the client.
3. Completing retail food safety audits in accordance with legal and client-driven requirements in line with specific country codes.
4. Completing audit reports immediately after the audit and submitting them on the day of the audit.
5. Ensuring any errors on the reports are corrected and updated when requested within 12 hours of the request.
6. Keeping your Line Manager / Lead Auditor appraised of client requests during audits.
7. Allowing Shadow and Witness Audits from the client, your lead auditor, or senior team as required.
8. Maintaining Continuous Personal Development (CPD) and taking on additional training as required when the client updates the audit work.
9. Maintaining a high level of IT skills in line with equipment and software used in the business and providing your own laptop or tablet for this work.
This is not an employed position but that of a "Self-Employed Contractor." The amount of days needed for this work is determined by your availability; ideally, we are looking for 1-3 days audit capacity per week.
