Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join the Logistics team.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the role entails managing the scientific and research equipment in an effective and efficient manner, looking after maintenance schedules, inspection, receipting goods in and dispatching goods out, and ensuring the entire facility is maintained to the high standard required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintenance of all health and safety aspects of the warehouse facility.
* Maintenance of an accurate record of all assets located in the IFI warehouse and also within IFI generally.
* Liaising with suppliers of field and technical equipment to ensure appropriate equipment is available to field staff as required for projects.
* Instigating purchase orders for equipment required for operational and field work.
* Procurement of equipment and inclusion of equipment on asset registers.
* Issuing and maintaining records of equipment to IFI staff on a national basis.
* Upkeep of warehouse housekeeping, maintenance, and health and safety.
* Management of annual servicing programmes (outboard motors, generators, electrofishing equipment).
* Management of quarterly and yearly stock audits in CityWest and Belfast.
* Identify and implement a suitable asset management and utilisation system for the equipment in the warehouse and nationally.
* Responsible for the security of the warehouse and for liaising with campus management company.
* Practical understanding of OGP procurement regulations and guidelines.
KEY EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Essential
* A recognised third-level qualification in a relevant discipline, at a minimum level of NFQ Level 7, or equivalent.
* A full Category B driving licence that is valid in Ireland.
* People management and supervisory skills.
* Proficient in the use of MS Excel & Word.
* Experience of equipment management and servicing at a national level.
* Customer service skills and understanding of internal customer needs.
* Highly experienced in inventory management systems and stock auditing processes.
* Experienced in developing and implementing a task/action ticketing system.
* Ability to write reports and to analyse large amounts of data.
* Experienced in managing facilities and projects to completion.
* Good communication and team working skills.
* Commitment and self-motivation.
* Reliable, conscientious and punctual.
* Flexible approach to work.
Desirable
* Experience of a Warehouse Management System.
* Experience of 5 ‘S’ and health and safety regulations.
* Experience of working under pressure to strict deadlines.
* 5 Years’ experience in warehouse operations.
LOCATION
This role will be based at IFI’s warehouse at Castle House, Unit 2001, Citywest Road, Citywest Business Campus, Saggart, Co Dublin.
REMUNERATION
The salary scale for the position is at the level of Higher Executive Officer as applies in Inland Fisheries Ireland, it is a 9-point scale including 2 long service increments (LSI’s):
Point 1 €56,058.57; Point 2 €57,718.03; Point 3 €59,385.04; Point 4 €61,045.98; Point 5 €62,715.41; Point 6 €64,383.64; Point 7 €66,049.43; Point 8 (LSI 1) €68,457.74; Point 9 (LSI 2) €70,859.97 (IFI HEO Grade PayScale as of 01/10/2024)
Candidates should note that salary will not be subject to negotiation and the rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. New entrants to the public sector will start on point 1 subject to Haddington Road Agreement and subsequent Government Agreements.
TENURE
