Our client are seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Foreman to oversee daily operations on a residential construction site in Greystones, Co. Wicklow. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising on-site personnel, co-ordinating subcontractors, maintaining site safety, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering the medium sized project on time and within budget. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, organisation, and communication. Our client are a small to medium sized builder focused on building residential schemes across Dublin and Wicklow. Future projects will focus on other Wicklow and some Dublin-based schemes, with potential for foreman roles in Wicklow Town, Arklow as well as North Wicklow / South Dublin area. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of site operatives and subcontractors. Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and the building programme. Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations on site in compliance with Irish legislation. Maintain a clean and organized site and manage site logistics effectively. Report progress, issues, and delays to Senior Management / Assigned Certifier / others as required. Work closely with the design team and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow. Conduct inductions, daily toolbox talks and safety briefings. Maintain site H&S file and liaise with external safety auditor Perform quality control checks and ensure the highest standards of workmanship. Read and interpret technical drawings and plans. Order materials as required and keep accurate records of site activities and deliveries. Qualifications & Experience: At least 10 years experience in a foreman or similar supervisory role on residential construction sites. Trade background preferred (e.g., carpentry, bricklaying, etc.). Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (mandatory). Current CIF Supervisor Safety Awareness training (or willingness to obtain). Experience with Irish Building Regulations and Health & Safety requirements. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment. Skills & Competencies: Excellent leadership and team coordination skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in using basic IT systems for reporting and record-keeping.
