We have an exciting new opportunity to join a leading actuarial and insurance advisor as a Life Manager. The successful candidate would join the actuarial team which works on a variety of both life and non-life business consulting and audit services. This position is based in Dublin and has a hybrid work structure. This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Actuary with a minimum of 3 years PQE (6 Years in total) in the life insurance/reinsurance or life consultancy industry. Experience in at least two of the following is preferable – IRFS 17, Solvency II, Financial Reporting and Capital and Risk Management).
About the Life Manager Consulting role
Duties for the Life Manager role include (but are not limited to):
1. Successful delivery and management of actuarial and multidisciplinary projects, including both the relationship with clients and the performance of the internal team.
2. Drive the production of client deliverables and assist management with the management of junior colleagues.
3. Develop Expertise and participate in research to support growth is specified fields.
4. Capable of working across a broad range of projects both as part of the assurance and business consulting practices.
Actuarial skills required
This Life Manager role would best suit a candidate with 6 years’ experience in a in life/reinsurance or life consultancy with 3 years PQE. Candidates will ideally have experience of the following:
5. Experience managing junior staff members and confident dealing with clients.
6. Disciplined with an ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
7. Excellent both written and oral communication skills
8. Preferably experience in IFRS 17, Solvency II, Financial Reporting and Capital risk Management.
9. Strong technical and Analytical skills with IT programming and software experience.
