The project is the construction of a Renewable Bioenergy Plant that will generate up to 4MW of renewable electricity from 90,000 tonnes per annum of non-hazardous biodegradable waste, utilising anaerobic digestion technology.This is a dual role, initially serving as the Project Construction Manager for Civil Works for the first 10 months of this scheduled 3-year project, focusing on completing the civil works package. Afterward, the role will transition to a more general Site Manager position for the remainder of the project.The following is a non-exhaustive list of job duties and may be subject to change based on the needs of the business:Leadership and HSEQ Commitment: Leads and encourages Kanadevia Inova and contractor teams to meet project HSEQ requirements, ensuring safety and compliance throughout design and execution phases.Project and Team Management: Oversees the civil project team, allocating tasks and responsibilities to ensure objectives are met on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. Ensures coordination with site and line management.Civil Project Strategy and Scope: Defines and manages the Civil Project Scope (e.g., design scope, WBS), revises schedules, and monitors progress. Takes ownership of civil change management and cost control, ensuring project compliance with targets.Risk Management and Reporting: Leads risk assessments, mitigation plans, and progress reporting. Organizes project meetings and maintains communication plans to ensure efficient information flow.Subcontractor and Contract Management: Supports subcontractor evaluation, negotiations, and contract administration. Provides input on technical, commercial, and contractual aspects during the tender and execution phases.QualificationsUniversity degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred but previous experience as a Construction Manager Civil or Project Manager EPC or Subcontractor Civil Company in the heavy/industrial civil business, experience of Contractual and Commercial Management is essentialExperienced as a leader in HSEQ management and knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and Management System requirements: Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent, Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalentExcellent motivational and leadership skills, good communication, planning and negotiation skillsGood command of English, and other languages an advantageAdditional InformationCompetitive rates of pay on a long term contract.For HR agencies: Please note that we do not accept applications coming from agencies.
