In this high-impact position, you will focus exclusively on technical delivery, architecture, and system excellence, with no people management responsibilities. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing standards for code quality, automation, and technical delivery and developing proficient processes for managing and maintaining our systems, tools, and environments.In this position, you're expected to work from our customer's office in Dublin at least once a week.Required skills:Demonstrated experience in software development and engineering, with a strong emphasis on best practices and design patterns.Advanced skills in Java and Groovy, with substantial experience using Spring Boot and the Spring Framework to develop robust applications.In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and other serverless architectures.Proven experience with MongoDB, including data modelling, performance optimisation, and maintenance of large-scale databases.Strong background in implementing automation frameworks for both testing and deployment, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery pipelines.Deep knowledge of operations and application architecture.Guide the entire lifecycle of technical solutions, from design and implementation to delivery and support, ensuring stability, uptime, and proactive alerting mechanisms.Review pull requests, provide guidance to maintain high-quality code, and advocate for robust automated testing strategies.Take responsibility for key airline systems, including broker services and check-in kiosks, spearheading decisions around system architecture and application design.Oversee the release process, ensuring seamless deployments with minimal disruption.Clearly and concisely communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders, addressing non-functional requirements and pushing back when necessary.Airline industry experience is a bonus, particularly in handling disruptions.Calm and resolute under strain, especially during operational disruption.What’s in it for you:An opportunity to join a fast-growing company.Options for career advancement.Learning and development opportunities.Flexible working environment.Competitive salaries based on experience.Equal Opportunity Employer:Amach is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
