Are you a Logistics Manager looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join an established international company. The successful candidate will be based in Cork, although travel to other sites may be required.

Overall Purpose of the Role:
As the Logistics Manager, you will ensure the process of moving goods in a consistent, efficient, and safe manner in line with policies, procedures, and project plans. You will be responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required, and in the most cost-effective way.
General Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
2. Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance.
3. Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
4. Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
5. Understand all Client requirements in relation to Transport & Logistics.
6. Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in line with business requirements.
7. Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities.
8. Monitor existing logistic systems and make suggestions for improvements when needed.
9. Contract negotiations for international transport with third parties to realise long-term cooperation.
10. Identify and implement new process flows and controls to manage key accounts.
11. Ensure all procedures are adhered to in relation to industry compliance and Customer SLA’s.
12. Collaborate effectively in various cross-functional workstreams to ensure operational support and adapt working models as necessary.
13. Partner with stakeholders in supply chain and across the organisation to ensure compliant transportation of client’s products.
14. Plan and implement improvements to internal distribution systems or processes.
15. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process.
16. Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.
17. Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required.
18. Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
19. Other duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed:
1. A minimum of 5 years management experience in a similar role is required.
2. Ability to manage a pipeline of multiple accounts and partners.
3. Thorough understanding of MS Office tools.
4. Strong problem-solving skills.
5. Motivated to make a difference in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to prioritise tasks as per deadline requirements.
7. Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
8. Expert knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations, including security requirements to include aviation security.
