We are looking for a for an experienced Stock Controller to manage our inventory and oversee two junior stock controllers.
Stock Controller responsibilities include Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS) tracking shipments, overseeing inventory audits and maintaining reports of purchases and pricing. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients and internal teams.
Ultimately, you will increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels of quality products at all times.
Responsibilities:
1. Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
2. Enter purchase details (vendors information and stock codes) into internal databases
3. Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed
4. Track shipments and address any delays
5. Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items
6. Coordinate regular inventory audits
7. Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
8. Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
9. Ensure purchases do not exceed budget
Requirements:
10. Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
11. Good understanding of supply chain procedures
12. Working knowledge of inventory management software
13. Active participation in inventory audits
14. Excellent organization skills
15. Good communication and negotiation abilities
16. Relevant experience in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
