I am currently seeking a quality technician to join a food company based in Tipperary on a permanent basis as their team grows.
This person will support the implementation of 3rd party and customer standards ensuring all requirements are met. You will support audits and compliance projects.
The successful candidate will have a 3rd level degree in science or quality paired with 2 years' experience in the food industry or a similar environment. Proven knowledge in food manufacturing is essential. Strong BRC knowledge and safety standards are also advantageous.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide knowledge and experience in Quality Systems.
2. Understand and apply regulatory and compliance requirements.
3. Ensure standards are implemented in accordance with individual customer requirements and all legal and regulatory requirements.
4. Coordinate and implement the entire standard into the processing plant ensuring audit readiness at all times.
5. Maintain a strong presence in the manufacturing area ensuring all processes are compliant with good manufacturing practice.
6. Coach and guide colleagues within the site regarding GMP.
7. Prepare for and assist with customer audits, customer visits, and visits from regulatory bodies ensuring timely responses to any non-conformances and corrective actions are implemented.
8. Conduct raw material checks in compliance with specifications at the point of intake ensuring any non-conformances are fed back to the suppliers.
9. Manage the approved supplier list, ensuring that all certifications, specifications, and SAQs are maintained up to date.
10. Partake in the coordination of the internal audit plan including traceability and fabrication/hygiene audits and carry out systems audits as required.
11. Document control and update procedures, records, and manuals, reviewing and filing paperwork from the production floor ensuring correct completion of all process control paperwork.
12. Perform quality checks on products during production ensuring the product is always produced to customer specifications.
