The Role:
The Credit Controller is primarily responsible for ensuring that customers pay their outstanding invoices promptly. This 12-month contract role involves actively contacting customers to collect overdue payments, negotiating payment plans, and maintaining accurate records of all collection activities. The goal is to reduce the company's outstanding receivables to an acceptable agreed-on level.
Bonus payable on reaching agreed targets.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving payment issues.
Responsibilities
* Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and accurate debt recording working towards agreed targets.
* Credit Control of approximately one thousand customers.
* A mixture of international blue-chip companies and local independent retailers.
* Proactively chase overdue invoices by telephone and email within agreed timeframe.
* Point of contact for all credit control related issues.
* Invoice and statement printing and dispatch via post, email, EDI, etc.
Experience
* Good communication and administration skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet targets, and promptly resolve customer queries.
* Ability to multitask and strong organisational skills.
* Very strong attention to detail.
* 1 - 2 years experience in a similar role is an advantage.
