Role/ Department:
An opportunity has arisen for the role of Senior Consultant in the Real Estate and Infrastructure (REIF) Team. The team is regarded as the leading provider of Fund Administration services to the Irish Real Estate market. This role will provide an opportunity for you to develop both knowledge and experience of a dynamic and varied client environment and represents an exciting opportunity to work with a number of niche asset managers.
Fund Accounting & overall Accounting
1. Develop an understanding of Fund Accounting requirements for Property Funds.
2. Collection of relevant information to facilitate production of NAVs.
3. Issue NAVs accurately and within defined timeframes.
4. Liaise with new clients to determine fund structure and level of detail required to support striking of NAV.
5. Active liaison with clients and external auditors, dealing with audit queries.
6. Ensuring agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met.
7. Preparation on occasion of interim and annual financial statements for Property Funds including the completion of consolidated financial statements for complex cross-border structures.
Client Centric
1. Effective communication with clients, investors and associated parties on fund activities.
2. Understand the purpose of and gain the critical background knowledge of Funds assigned to the team.
3. Keep abreast of current activities in the REIF's market as well as industry and regulatory developments.
4. Liaise with other internal departments such as Trustee, Legal, Transfer Agency and Company Secretarial.
Purchase and Sale of Property Investments
1. Understand the structure of property transactions.
2. Understand the process and approvals required.
3. Co-ordination of approval process.
4. Collation of documentation / record maintenance.
Knowledge:
1. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
2. Professional accountancy qualification is essential.
3. In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is advantageous.
4. Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. Yardi) is highly desirable.
5. Detailed knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP and IFRS.
6. Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory /tax regime as it relates to Fund Accounting.
7. A strong appreciation of accounting principles and standards.
8. Knowledge of or willingness to quickly gain knowledge of Property Fund Administration.
9. Demonstrates understanding of the need for high-touch client service.
10. Ability to participate in systems development projects.
11. Demonstrates commitment to producing high quality work and to timeframes required.
12. Excellent knowledge of Excel.
