AuxiliaGroup Recruitment are currently hiring a Procurement Manager on behalf of our client, an established company within the pharmaceutical sector. This is a permanent opportunity based in Co. Offaly.
Role:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies ensuring cost-effective, timely, and quality sourcing of product.
* Lead the team with constant involvement and presence. Provide specific and clear direction for the strategy, objectives, policies, practices and expectations.
* Take a broad view and identify key trends in the Procurement environment and pro-actively identify business/partnership/joint working opportunities.
* Work with the senior internal management to review Procurement data, targets, and identify potential new suppliers and commercial procurement opportunities.
* Proactively explore emerging trends and innovative solutions that support company ambitions for growth of people and performance.
* Source and identify supplier of products through existing and new channels.
* Negotiation: negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and quality.
* Manage supplier relations.
Requirements:
* Previous senior procurement experience ideally within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry but all senior experience considered.
* Management experience within procurement required for this position
* Strong business acumen.
* Experience managing multiple priorities and working to strict deadlines.
* Proven organisation and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrate proficiency managing analytically rigorous initiatives.
* High level proficiency in the MS Office Suite required
